But then the rains came
soaked the trees
and while they held their weight
for so too long
gathering droopily drops
as liquid smelt metal
conscious quicksilver
mercury with a purpose
direction
flow
The pool collected
eclipsed
fell
And so came violent tempest birthcry
and so came the ocean from the rain
Mirror surface form
flooding filling in making ways waves within
Throwing shimmer reflecting every direction
A still sea innocent for a precious second
before the first tide pulled
the first wave rolled broke and
the circle began complete
sure of its course
ignorant of birth
kinetic energy
perpetual force
