“It’s worse in the spring.”
“You’re damn right it is, and it’s worse than it use ta.”
“Losing an hour?”
“No, I always lost the hour. Couldn’t ever keep track. You know everyday normal an then suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, I’m an hour late to work. A few grumbles here and there but no harm no foul, right? Now every timepiece in my life self-regulates, adjusts, and moves on. Meanwhile I’m none the wiser walking around all day not quite sure why everything feels two to three inches off.”
What a strange event natural
that feet on the ground man
decides
land should shift time
shading sunrise
an hour sooner…
Course there is stranger
there's slower an quicker too
Way out
Far out
In the sky
to the sunset west
two stars move
bright, glaring
crossing ebony purple
Star crossed but stars not
Venus and Jupiter ride the night
to meet in the middle
and join as one
in the circle of our sun

Further still, further on
solar flares break out
from immense eruptions of our sun
casting off wavelengths invisible
that mingle and play mirth
on sophisticated earth
mired gadgetry
submitting man and electronics
to equipment malfunction
