Today is mine

I own and walk straight through the minefield

bruised and battered but unscathed

these are but growing pains

welcome reminders

new appendages, attitudes of scab and scar

Proceed I free from true body harm.

that's something of true value
something to trade on
barter the world, learn in kind
to and from the deep beating heart 

of those who see and would achieve
